Andrew Kaye
Managing Director
Andrew Kaye has been in the fishing industry for 43 years. He founded Kaytrad Commodities (Pty) Ltd in 1980.
He is a founding member of many of the organizations that play a big role in the fishing Industry today, and has been involved across multiple sectors. He was instrumental in the formation of the South African Tuna Association (SATA) and the SA Squid Management Industrial Association (SASMIA) and the SA Hake Longline Association and that of Fish SA and of the National SMME Fishing Forum which operated from the late 1990’s until 2008. Throughout his career, he has always supported the development of the SMME fishing sector in South Africa.
He served at various times as Chairman of SA Tuna Association, SA Hake Longline Association, The National SMME Fishing Forum, and the SA Squid Management Industrial Association and served on Fish SA as an Exco member.
He has also represented SA at ICCAT.
Clive Campbell
General Manager
Clive Campbell was a founder member of Outeniqua Fishing Company which was subsequently sold to Sea Harvest.
He had a 5-year service contract and thereafter started working at I&J as an overseas Director in Monaco.
Whilst at I&J, he purchased and managed five fishing vessels of the Moonzund class for Pelagic Fishing. These vessels were 120m in length and GRT 7605.
He joined Kaytrad Commodities in 2010 as General Manager.
He has a thorough knowledge of white fish fisheries throughout Southern Africa, South America, Australia, and Asia, and has travelled through most factories in these areas.
He brings a wealth of knowledge to the team in terms of international experience and retail marketing.
Adrian Smith
Financial Director
Adrian Smith CA(SA) completed articles with Ernst and Young in 1995 and worked in the manufacturing sector for a few years before joining Kaytrad Commodities in 1999.
He has been involved in the fishing industry since then and is currently the chairman of the SA Squid Management Industrial Association and on the Exco of Fish SA and the South East Coast Industrial Fishing Association (SECIA) which covers the Hake Inshore Trawl sector.
Allan Wyngaard
Hout Bay Cold Store Manager
Allan Wyngaard has been involved in the fishing industry for 39 years.
He started at Kaytrad Commodities in December 1999
He receives, stores, sorts, and ships items kept in cold storage.
